For the past few years, you hear more people gripe about the price at the pump to fuel your car. However, currently oil prices have dropped significantly. In fact, the price of Brent crude oil is down to £38 per barrel! That sounds like a good thing for consumers, right?

Well, not so much. For comparison’s sake, the same cost for a barrel of crude oil can buy a six-pack of 1.5-litre Evian water bottles. While there is concern that if oil prices continue to lower at this rate many jobs would be jeopardy, the odd point is that the water, a substance that is absolutely necessary for all living things, would still be more expensive. While it is imperative to control the cost of oil for the economy to recover and thrive, we also need to keep perspective on the cost of water as well.
