Plastic water bottles are a continued problem for our environment. We have be warned of this problem for decades, yet there are still too few actions being taken to address this issue. Furthermore, the idea of bottled water seems pointless. The availability of clean water is not an issue for most of the, but we still bottle it and create this harmful product primarily because of a marketing scheme. The government should take more interest in this environmental issue and develop a recycling program that reduces the impact of water bottle waste on our environment.
