It appears that bottled water may no longer be the safest option. Recent studies have shown that the plastic bottles that are improperly disposed of into bodies of water causing pollution. Aside from pollution, bottled water is also being shown to be in some cases tap water bottled and sold at a higher price. This high end tap water is also tested and shown to sometimes contain mold, microbes, and even in some extreme cases e. coli
