Much to their chagrin, Public Health England will not proceed putting fluoride into the water supply after the Southhampton city council spoke out against it. Opponents to enamel-protecting fluoride believe it to be harmful in the long term. Southhampton citizens also argue the policy is medicating the public without consent.
