Sao Paulo’s Water Crisis at Critical Mass

For a third consecutive year, Sao Paulo in Brazil is experiencing low rainfall and high temperatures during its traditional rainy season. The Cantareira reservoir system that serves over 9 million people in the region is only 5% full. Even with water rationing, experts believe Sao Paulo has only four to six months of water left.
