Globally, the push to get more environmentally friendly energy sources is at an all time high. One of the popular methods to do this is through wind farming. However, a recent study shows that wind farming might actually be harming the environment, specifically water supplies.

A doctor in Scotland is blaming the largest Scottish windfarm for contaminating the public water supply with the potential cancer-causing chemical trihalomethane. She believes that the disturbed peat that resulted after excavating the area to make room for the windfarm added more carbon and chemicals into the fresh water.
