Many of us take access to clean water for granted, but for 600 million people it is a daily challenge. Of these, it is generally the women who are tasked with water collection and many must travel long distances of dangerous terrain to accomplish this task. In Pakistan, women will travel miles in 48-50 degree Celsius temperatures to bring back a days’ worth of water. The fact that these women must spend their days hauling water also means that they are not receiving an education. Photographer Mustafah Abdulaziz will be taking photos of these women until 2027.
