Customers of four water companies in England and Wales registered more complaints about their service in 2015-16 than in previous years. Over 60 percent of these complaints are about billing and charges. Southern Water received the most complaints: 77 per 10,000 customers. Wessex Water and Portsmouth Water received fewer complaints in 2015-16. These companies were named the two best water companies in Britain for the 2015-16 year.
