A police officer from New Harmony, Utah, Sgt Aaron Thompson rescued a boy who had fallen into a frozen pond on Christmas day. The eight-year-old boy fell through the ice while chasing his dog. Thompson found the boy’s body floating about 25 feet from the edge of the pond and believed the boy had been in the freezing water for about 30 minutes. The boy, Jason was recovering from his ordeal in the hospital. Sgt Thompson was treated for hypothermia and he sustained minor cuts and bruises.
