A large water company in the UK has been hit with a record large fine. They were recently fined for polluting the River Thames. The fine, 20 million pounds or 25 million American dollars. They were found to have been dumping sewage into the river. This was responsible for killing wildlife, live stock, and sickening people along the river. Local businesses and local fishermen were also greatly effected as they were no longer able to fish in many areas thanks to the pollution.
