The Heavy Metals in Your Drinking Water

While tap water may be safe to drink, sometimes there are heavy metals left in your drinking water. It is important to know what metals could be present in your water and have them removed through a water filter. What are some metals to look out for?

Many water treatment companies still cannot filter out traces of arsenic, which is used to produce other organic compounds but is known to be poisonous. Boron can be found in freshwater sources near manufacturing plants of soap and glass. If you live in an older home, you may want to get your pipes tested for traces of harmful lead.
