Recently over 4500 swimmers participated in London’s Serpentine event. The swimmers must swim one mile, and start in 18 waves. This year Guy Davis was the winner for the men, and Lara Langston was the winner for the women. Though this is the first year for the event, organizers hope it will become one of the largest open water swim competitions in the UK. On Sunday, swimmers can participate in a 3.1 mile event.
