The issue is that a lot of people don’t recycle very well. They throw it in the bin because it is more convenient, especially when out in public.

For best results, you do both strategies: reduce plastic usage and make it easier to recycle plastics which are used.

England should also copy Wales’ recycling strategy. Wales is the second best country in the world for recycling household waste and England lags far behind. Lessons should be learnt and applied.
