In Northern Ireland there are often people or businesses that do not pay for their water. The water is stolen mainly by bypassing water meters. The water company Northern Ireland Water has sent out a call to action, asking the public to report those who do not pay for their water. The bypassing of water meters means the culprits must interfere with water lines. This causes a risk to the general public, as the waterlines risk contamination. The Northern Ireland Water company is doing all it can to keep the public’s water clean and safe.
