Many areas on earth have trouble gaining access to clean water. Whether it is due to the environment or poor sanitation, nations such as South Africa, Ghana, and Bangladesh have water sources that are unsafe for human consumption and use. However, a new book can change all that.

Dr. Teri Dankovich has developed a book that can literally kill 99% of bacteria and bugs in dirty water. All one has to do is rip a page out of the book and use it to filter the water. The pages in the book not only contains written literature about the importance of water filtration, but also nanoparticles of silver or copper that can kill bacteria as water passes through the pages.
