Coca-Cola has one of the longest reaches in society. Throughout the world you can see the red logo and white letters. From the poorest neighborhoods in Mexico to the modern offices of Google, there is a restaurant serving Coke, a convenience store with 2-liter bottles, or a vending machine with the soda in it. Coca-Cola has become more accessible than drinking water.

It might sound silly on paper, but it is a legitimate concern. The high sugar content in Coca-Cola and sodas in general contribute to child obesity and diabetes for many adults. The lack of promotion and at-ready access to drinking water in many nations further helps that figure. It is up to us to try to promote water and create as much access as we can in order to compete or beat the soda giant.
