More than 95% of home care workers in Scotland are finding themselves without a nearby toilet or place to make a hot drink or food for their breaks. Since split shifts were begun, many home carers have found themselves with odd breaks in the evening, and not enough time or the ability to go home to use the toilet and make a hot drink. Union officials are now pursuing the matter.
