The scarcity of fresh water throughout the world has been documented time and again with many global leaders addressing the issues and searching for solutions. While access to water is imperative in order for everyone to be healthy, the water issue affects another important resource: food.

Global food prices have been on the rise since 2012 and are slated for another hike. Why? Because the lack of fresh water to feed crops and quench the thirst of livestock has risen the price of the basic foundations that end up on your dinner plate.
