A new law was recently passed in England that allows businesses to switch their water providers in order to increase competition. In Scotland the new law lacks restriction, as any business can switch their water supplier and waste water supplier. In Wales the water market is remaining closed. Many water suppliers are not informing their customers about this new law because they fear they will lose business. The law goes into effect in Spring 2017, and could save many companies money on water.
