The Environmental Protection Agency believes that 121 water supplies that provide water to 940,000 people could be contaminated. The water supplies tested failed to meet the microbial and chemical standards required to label drinking water as “safe.” How can this be improved?

Well, the issue is being addressed, albeit slowly. Lead piping is being removed in order to decrease the lead content in the water along with other improvements to disinfect it.
