An eight-foot blue shark washed up on the shore of the Magaluf resort on the Spanish island of Majorca. A shark was spotted the previous day, but after ordering all swimmers to come ashore, it didn’t resurface. The beach was reopened the day the shark ended up on shore. However, the waters quickly cleared as the shark got within feet of the beach. Experts speculated that it was the same shark from the previous day, and had come so close to the shore because it was disoriented. Blue sharks are very common in the area, with a similar shark was blamed for an attack in Ibiza last year.
