E. Coli Present in UK Coastal Waters

According to data presented at the General Microbiology Annual Conference, United Kingdom residents who use coastal waters to swim or boat recreationally could be exposed to anti-biotic resistant E. coli. The fecal material in the coastal seawater currently carries billions of bacteria harboring mobile antibiotic resistance genes.
