The number of diabetic patients is fervently on the rise in Britain. Health experts have researched and found that one of the main culprits behind this health epidemic is the increased intake of sugary drinks. In fact, the findings of the Medical Research Council at the University of Cambridge suggest that merely replacing a sugary drink with water, unsweetened tea, or coffee can lower your risk of type two diabetes by nearly a quarter.

This new information has lead to campaign groups to encourage a sugary drink tax in order to promote overall better health to England. There are ways to enjoy flavored water without the refined sugar. Adding concoctions of sliced fruits and vegetables into pitchers of clean water can make some tasty, flavorful infused waters without the health risk.
