Cutting Down on Water Consumption

On May 29, 2015, in Commentary, by Erik

Clean, drinkable water is becoming a scarcer resource day by day. It is important for our future that we learn to conserve our water so we will be able to drink it, wash with it, and fulfill other needs if a dry season were to hit. What are some ways to conserve water at home?

Monitor your lawn’s sprinklers and don’t water during the day. Lawns can be over-watered and watering during the day will just have the heat evaporate the water before it can properly nourish the ground. Try to limit your showers to five minutes and don’t leave the sink running as you lather up to shave. When using a washing machine, try to make the most out of each load. Doing these small things can make a big difference in our water supply later on. For more tips on how to conserve water at home, click here:: 5 tips for conserving water at home
