With the limited amount of fresh, clean water in the world, scientists are working tirelessly for solutions. The development of technology such as desalination plants and solar-powered filters gives some hope for the future. There is another breakthrough that could help clean and salvage dirty water: grapheme.

The tests with graphene are showing positive results in using it as an effective water filter for metals, minerals, and other contaminants.
