Energy and environmental innovator Abengoa has begun construction of a desalination plant for the city of Agadir, Morocco. The plant will supply 100,000 m3/day of drinkable water to more than 500,000 people living in the region. Another aim of the plant is to increase tourism within Morocco as it is one of the main economic drivers of the country.
