A competition being held in Oregon is challenging local brewers to make a tasty beer using treated sewer water as its base. The Pure Water Brew Challenge is hoping to raise awareness of reusing water (after its been cleansed, of course) by having 20 members of the Oregon Brew Crew create craft beers out of 1,135 liters of purified wastewater. The final tastings are scheduled for late July or early August. For more about this odd contest, click here:: Sewer brewers: Oregon beer-makers challenged to use wastewater in recipes
