The water resources control board voted and announced an extension of water restrictions and expanded upon it. Water is no longer to be served automatically in restaurants. How does this affect the UK? Well, while there is no current drought, obtaining clean useable water is still an issue. Conservation may be key to having lasting water resources in case climate change were to deplete our supplies. Perhaps it may be time to ask hotels not to wash and prepare fresh towels now so that there can be the opportunity to get clean towels five years from now.
