How the Omniprocessor Can Change the World

What if I told you that there was a treatment plant with the technology to provide 11,000 liters of water per day without using any nearby freshwater sources? What if that technology virtually doesn’t use any energy, but in fact creates 150kw a day to export it to the power grid? What if it also produces ash that can be beneficial to farmers as fertilizer? Sounds good, right? So what’s the catch? Well, you… have to poop.

That’s right, the Omnprocessor can do everything stated above by processing human waste. The Seattle-based plant has turned heads in the scientific community recently, especially when billionaire computer mogul Bill Gates drank a glass of the processed water on camera. With such an endorsement, here’s hoping that the plant can be replicated elsewhere and the fecal stigma doesn’t impede progress.
