Wet wipe’s popularity in the UK is causing problems. The increase use and disposal of wet wipes are harming the environment. An envirmontal group from London has found that wet wipes have increased a 1,000 fold. This increase use has led the wet wipes to harm the Thames River. Disposed wet wipes are clogging the river and changing the shape of the river bed. While wet wipes are big business with over $4 billion sales world wide consumers need to realize the environmental impact these wipes have when disposed of.
