A new class action lawsuit has been filed against Nestle claiming fraud in the sales of it’s Poland Spring waters. The suit says that Nestle has been using common ground water instead of spring water due to the fact that the spring actually dried up over 50 years ago in the water they are using does not meet FDA standards for actual spring water. The plaintiffs argue that consumers were overcharged and that the name Poland Springs should not be used anymore. Nestle has denied any wrongdoing.

Key Takeaways:

  • Lawsuit plaintiffs assert that the real Poland Spring dried up half a decade ago, making Nestle’s use of the name a case for fraud.
  • Moreover, the plaintiffs say that Nestle is filtering groundwater, which is against FDA regulations.
  • Nestle understandably denies the allegations, as the Poland Spring label has netted the company 900 million a year, within the last decade.

“The class action suit demands a refund for the premium paid for spring water.”
