In the streets of Mumbai there were several dogs that appeared to be blue which caught the attention of locals. These stray dogs had bathed and drank in water that was contaminated with industrial waste. The Kasadi river in Navi Mumbai has been deemed too polluted for humans by the state capital in Western India. In surrounding local areas, newspapers had notes that their pollution levels had increased over 13 times the safe limit. Animal protection is now urging officials to regulate and stop the pollution in local rivers.
