Holiday firms are refusing service to people who submit bogus compensation claims. In 18 months, £42 million false compensation claims were submitted. The number of sickness claims has gone up by 1,400% from 2013. More companies are choosing to prosecute. Some claims management companies encourage people on holiday to file false compensation claims. The president of Hosteltur contacted upper management from Tui, Thomas Cook, Jet2, and Monarch to start taking stronger action against false compensation claims.
