Residents affected by the loss of water supplies affecting parts of Bristol said they did not know the emergency water points had been set up. A burst water main in Willsbridge knocked out the water supply to Whitchurch, Stockwood, Longwell Green and Keynsham throughout Wednesday. At the peak of the problems an estimated 35,000 people were without water, but the issue will be resolved for all households by midnight, Bristol Water has said. Emergency water points were put in place in Keynsham, Longwell Green and Saltford.
