Drinking alcohol is deeply embedded in the cultures of Europe, but digestive health experts recommend strategies to reduce the amount of alcohol consumed. These strategies include banning evening sales of alcohol and setting minimum prices to encourage people to drink less. Increasing public awareness of alcohol-related health risks is another strategy. These strategies have already been successfully implemented in Scandinavia.
