Water companies in the UK are warning that, due to a very dry winter, water restrictions could be in the forecast. Area farmers are attempting to water their fields as predictions indicate that the coming months may not yield enough water to replenish low levels of water in the reservoirs. Rainfall over the 2016-2017 winter season was the lowest in twenty years. While water shortages are not yet an issue, area water companies have plans in place should the situation become a crisis.
