London’s single use plastic bottle waste is catching up with them as the city’s mayor learns of the scale of the problem. Having the highest consumption of bottled water, and the lowest recycling rate in the United Kingdom makes London’s problem particularly bad. To combat their problem the city attempts to promote the use of reusable bottles and particularly utilizing water refilling stations which have been installed near mass transit hubs for convenience to the population.
