As water has always been a scarce resource for some individuals around the globe, World Water Day tries to bring to light the disturbing fact that by the year 2040, about twenty five percent of the global child population will experience not enough water. Most children suffering from water shortage come from middle african countries with poverty levels at some of the highest on the global sphere. Iran as well as India also have significant water issues.
