It’s well known that plastic isn’t good for the environment or for your health. Now, London-based startup CanO Water believes it has found the solution and celebrities like David Gandy and Ellie Goulding are on board. The company, founded by three friends Ariel Booker, Perry Alexander Fielding, and Josh White, all under the age of 25 is selling tall cans of water with resealable lids for 99 cents.

Key Takeaways:

  • Josh White, Ariel Booker and Perry Alexander Fielding, who are all under 25, are the founders of CanO Water – 99p ($1.25) cans of water with resealable lids that they created to help the environment after their trip to a bottle-strewn beach in Thailand.
  • The cans, which are filled with water from a spring in Austria, are now stocked in Selfridges and Whole Foods, but Josh says receiving a call from the Oscars was a ‘dream come true’.
  • ‘The Oscars is the biggest event on any celebrity’s social calendar so to be asked to provide our cans of water for one of the biggest, most famous after-party is a dream-come-true.’

“We don’t just see CanO Water as a product on the shelves, it could change everything. By 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish – and we’re aiming to change that. We take risks because we want to build a brand, that can help us be a part of something better.”
