According to the UN children’s agency, fierce air strikes have prevented repairs to a damaged pumping station that is supplying rebel-held districts of the city. According to Unicef, the answer in retaliation to this has been the switching off of a nearby station pumping water to the rest of Aleppo. The most recent air strikes were reported in the city on Saturday as the Syrian army pushes to take back rebel areas.
