It’s been nearly a full week after cryptosporidiosis parasites were found in United Utilities water supply and officials are still scrambling to cleanse the water treatment system. Over 300,000 homes were given boil water notices for the foreseeable future and many businesses claim losing profits due to the water contamination.

United Utilities claims that bill payers will be contacted once all traces of the contamination have been cleansed and that they will be compensated for their troubles. Businesses are encouraged to write to the company to process any claims of lost profits on case-by-case basis. For more on this story, click here:: Lancashire Water Bug: Payout for 300,000 Homes
