Physicians everywhere tout the importance of drinking enough water to ensure proper hydration. Many health conscious people keep track to try to get their eight glasses of water per day. However, folks should be mindful how they get their daily portion of water in.

Drink your water slowly, as drinking quickly puts extra stress on the heart to keep blood pumping to take in the extra water. Unless you’re doing heavy exercise, drink only one glass of water per hour. Drinking more can put additional stress to the kidneys to filter out the access water and can damage them if they’re overworked. So when you drink water, be mindful in how you do it.
