Many of the upstream textile plants and suppliers to major clothing labels have a giant hurdle ahead of them due to Chinese government’s “Water Pollution Prevention and Control Action Plan.” The new act is enforcing water treatment reform and is aiming to improve the drinking water resources to higher standards by 2020.
