A review completed by the Health Research Board at the request of the Department of Health has shown that that there is no definitive evidence that fluoride is harmful to consume in drinking water. “Given the lack of peer-reviewed research and the inappropriate design of many studies to detect a causal relationship (between fluoride and health problems), further research would be required to provide definitive proof,” said Dr. Graham Love, Chief Executive at the Health Research Board.
