As Brazil prepares for next year’s Olympic Games, a team of Scottish scientists have launched a new plan to tackle the toxic water pollution in the area. One bay in Brazil that is planned to host a number of swimming event is currently described as an “open sewer.” The researchers from Glasgow Caledonian University plan on analyzing and testing the water in order to measure the pollutants to produce a thorough action plan.
