Other than air, there is probably no other thing as critical to our survival as water. The quality of it is of importance that need not be discussed, but there are reasons for it that are not quite obvious. It provides important nutrition for both animals and plants who provide the food we eat. It is also the difference between being health and sick. Since clean water is a necessity for everyone, securing sources of clean water is a common goal for mankind, bringing us closer to other people.
