Innovator Helmut Smits has designed what he calls “The Real Thing,” a device that can turn Coca-Cola into pure drinking water. Smits unveiled the device at Dutch Design Week to point out the sad truth that in many countries it is easier to get a can of Coke rather than a glass of clean drinking water.
