The company Irish Water is going to be fined for having delays in reducing the pollutant levels in its water. They need to improve their drinking water and reduce their cancer-linked pollutant. The Environmental Protection Agency punished them in 2014. Casheland, Fintown, and other areas were affected. There were excessive levels of trihalomethanes found in the water, which are a byproduct of chlorination of the water supply. They are known to possibly have carcinogenic effects.
