Importance of Hydration

The human body is partially composed of water, with over half of an average human being water. Water is essential to both our physical and mental functions. Without adequate water, our organs will shut down. To determine if you are hydrated, urine should be clear or light-colored. Some side-effects of being dehydrated include dizziness, fatigue, headaches, weight gain, mood swings and insomnia. Exercising causes us to lose water and electrolytes as we sweat. It’s important to replenish our water after a workout.
